Everything you need to know
New to therapy or just new to us? Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
We offer individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy for clients of all ages. Our licensed therapists use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and solution-focused therapy — tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. We treat a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, life transitions, postpartum challenges, OCD, self-esteem, anger management, stress, and more.
Yes — we offer secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions for clients throughout North Carolina. Telehealth sessions are a great option if you have a busy schedule, prefer the comfort of your own home, or live further from our Mooresville office. Virtual sessions are just as effective as in-person therapy for most concerns.
We accept most major insurance plans. We recommend contacting our office directly at 704.928.9501 or emailing us at Healthy@CarolinaBlueSkiesCounseling.com to verify your specific plan before your first appointment. We also offer a Good Faith Estimate for clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance.
Our office is located at 106 Commerce Center Loop, Suite A, Mooresville, NC 28117 — conveniently situated in the heart of the Lake Norman area. We serve clients in Mooresville, Davidson, Cornelius, Huntersville, Charlotte, Sherrills Ford, Denver, Troutman, Statesville, Salisbury, and surrounding communities. Virtual therapy clients can be located anywhere in North Carolina.
Your first session is an intake appointment — a chance for your therapist to get to know you, understand what's brought you to therapy, and discuss your goals. There's no pressure to share everything at once. You'll have time to ask questions, learn about our approach, and decide if the fit feels right. Most clients leave their first session feeling relieved they took the step. We encourage you to come as you are.
Yes — we are currently accepting new patients! You can schedule your first appointment directly through our website or by calling us at 704.928.9501. We'll work to get you scheduled as quickly as possible. If you're unsure where to start, reach out and we'll help match you with the right therapist for your needs.
Therapy is for anyone who wants support — not just those in crisis. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply want a safe space to talk through life's challenges, therapy can help. You don't need to be at a breaking point to benefit. Many of our clients come to therapy for personal growth, relationship improvement, or navigating major life changes. If you're wondering whether it's right for you, that curiosity alone is a great first step.
Yes. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. What you share with your therapist stays private. There are a small number of legal exceptions — such as situations involving imminent risk of harm to yourself or others — but these are rare and your therapist will explain all confidentiality guidelines in detail during your first session. Our practice fully complies with HIPAA regulations to protect your privacy.
